Accessibility
Accessibility and inclusion are central to who we are. We work to make our services, our communication, and this website usable by everyone.
Our commitment
ELM Programs Inc. is committed to providing services that are accessible, inclusive, and respectful of every person we support. We share the goals of Nova Scotia’s Accessibility Act and work to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to participation. Accessibility is not an add-on for us — it is part of how we deliver person-led, rights-based support.
Accessible services
We deliver supports in your own home and community, shaped around your individualized support plan and your preferences. We make reasonable accommodations to meet your needs, and we adapt how we communicate — including using alternative communication methods and providing information in formats that work for you.
Accessible communication and alternative formats
If you would like information from this website, or any document we provide, in a different format — for example, large print, plain language, or another accessible format — please ask. We will do our best to provide it promptly and at no cost to you.
Website accessibility
We aim to meet recognized web accessibility guidance (WCAG 2.1, Level AA) and to keep improving over time. This site is built with features that support accessibility, including a skip-to-content link, keyboard navigation, descriptive text for images, clear headings, and readable colour contrast. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and some areas may not yet fully meet our goals.
Tell us about a barrier
